Nautical Burma Teak
Nautical Burma Teak, used on yachts, can be considered the wood par excellence for use in the nautical sector.
The mechanical and aesthetic properties of Nautical Burma Teak allow for unparalleled levels of style and practicality. Suffice it to say that it is, by nature, particularly resistant to insects, fungi and saltiness, which, indeed, helps to limit the occurrence of these problems.
Its natural oiliness, which is typical of Nautical Burma Teak (much less present or totally absent in the case of different origins), allows for minimal expansion compared with other woods that have been tested as an alternative to Teak. Add to this its exceptional anti-slip properties and this explains why it is the leading wood in the nautical sector.
We must never forget that we are talking about a natural product and not one that is made in a laboratory.
Exposure to sunlight will provide incredibly uniformity to even those slight shades that occur just after planning. It can be finished in a wide range of ways and is extremely easy and flexible to work with.
These characteristics make Nautical Burma Teak a unique wood that has no equal. In fact, despite many years of research and development into materials that could replace this material, there is no product that can replicate its properties.
